Can I change the Owner account to a QA role and keep billing access?
Changing the Owner account to a QA role while keeping billing access on a Read-Only account isn’t possible. A Read-Only account can’t manage billing or any other company-level administrative actions.
To keep billing access while moving the Owner account to a QA role:
- Transfer the Owner role to another user who has a paid seat. This keeps full company-management and billing access in place.
- Add a free Accountant user to your team. This user can manage billing and subscriptions without access to projects.
- Accountant users aren’t counted as paid users, so you can add several of them without extra charges.
