Why are custom labels missing in MCP tool calls?

Custom labels are not visible in MCP tool calls, which affects the ability to create custom charts using these labels.

Answer

Ensure you are on the latest release version and not using a beta version. Follow these steps to work with custom labels:

  1. Call labels_list or project_info to view all available label values.
  2. Update the test status displayed on the chart by using tests_update with the link parameter to remove the old label and add the new one.

Strengthen the instructions for the agent, as this is a non-standard use case and the agent may not infer what needs to be done even though custom labels are supported.
